About This Event
The Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival celebrates Cedar City's ranching roots on Friday through Sunday, October 23-25, 2026. See our full sheep parade and festival schedule. The headline event is Saturday's Sheep Parade. It starts at 10 a.m. with tractors, farm machinery, and horses, and ends with roughly 1,000 sheep driven down Main Street from 200 South to 400 North as they move from Cedar Mountain to their winter range. Friday brings an antique tractor pull, a wagon train arrival, stock dog and draft horse demonstrations, a junior ranch rodeo and stick horse rodeo, and cowboy poetry and music. Saturday adds the Dennis Stowell Memorial Ranch Rodeo, a Dutch oven cook-off tasting, sheep shearing demonstrations, a kids pedal tractor pull, a vintage auto display, the Utah Make It With Wool fashion parade, and the Cedar Chest Quilters quilt show at the Heritage Center. Most activities are at the Cross Hollow Event Center arenas. See more fall events in our Southern Utah fall and Halloween guide.
